Arduino as pixel controller for ws2813 led

Hi,

I am just starting to get into using pixel led strip and have been experimenting with them connected to an Arduino,I am using ws2813 led and the fastSPI library,

How practical is an Arduino as a pixel controller?

I'm not yet sure how I'm going to control them.

Any suggestions?
